At Sarah Davidson Reflexology, my aim is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can take time out from the demands of everyday life and focus on your wellbeing.
I offer Reflexology and Reiki treatments designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support your overall health and wellbeing. Both therapies take a holistic approach, recognising the connection between the mind, body, and emotions, and helping to create the conditions for balance and self-care.
Hello, I’m Sarah, a qualified Reflexologist and Physiotherapist with a passion for supporting people’s health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
My interest in reflexology grew from a lifelong fascination with holistic health and the body’s natural ability to restore balance. I trained with the Complementary Therapy School and qualified as a Reflexologist in 2019. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), giving you the reassurance that I am fully qualified, insured, and committed to providing a safe, professional, and relaxing experience.

Alongside reflexology, I have over 30 years of experience as a Physiotherapist, having qualified in 1995 and worked within the NHS in a wide range of clinical and managerial roles. While I have recently stepped back from full-time physiotherapy to focus more on family life, I continue to work occasionally as a physiotherapist and remain a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I am passionate about helping people feel their best, whatever stage of life they are in. Reflexology can support wellbeing in many ways, and I particularly enjoy working with older adults, those living with long-term health conditions, and anyone looking to improve their overall sense of balance and relaxation.
Understanding that attending appointments can sometimes be difficult, I am happy to offer treatments in clients’ own homes and can adapt sessions to meet individual needs and circumstances.
I live in Inverurie with my husband, our two boys, and our two cats. Life is wonderfully busy, but whenever I can, I enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, walking, and getting lost in a good book.
I look forward to supporting you on your wellbeing journey.
Whether you're looking to reduce stress, enjoy deep relaxation, or support your overall wellbeing, I offer a range of holistic treatments tailored to your individual needs. Each session is designed to help you relax, restore balance, and feel your best.

Drawing on over 30 years of experience as a Physiotherapist alongside my training as a Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner, I take a compassionate, person-centred approach to every treatment. I understand that every individual is unique, which is why each session is tailored to your specific needs, circumstances, and wellbeing goals.
Whether you are looking for time to relax, support your wellbeing, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself, I would be delighted to help you on your wellbeing journey.

Can Reflexology or Reiki Diagnose Medical Conditions?
No. Reflexology and Reiki cannot diagnose medical conditions.
Both Reflexology and Reiki are complementary therapies that focus on promoting relaxation, supporting wellbeing and encouraging the body's natural ability to maintain balance. They are not diagnostic tools and should not be used to diagnose, treat or cure illness.
I will always ask about your medical history and current health to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate for you. However, this assessment is to tailor your treatment and identify any contraindications—it is not a medical diagnosis.
If you have any symptoms that concern you or you are worried about your health, it is important to seek advice from your GP or another qualified healthcare professional. Complementary therapies work alongside conventional healthcare and should never replace appropriate medical assessment or treatment.
My aim is to provide a safe, professional and supportive environment where you can relax, focus on your wellbeing and complement your overall healthcare.
What to expect during your first appointment?
Whether you are attending for Reflexology or Reiki, your appointment is designed to provide a calm, comfortable and professional experience, tailored to your individual needs.
Your first appointment will begin with a consultation where we will discuss your medical history, current health, lifestyle and the reason for your visit. This allows me to ensure that your chosen treatment is safe and appropriate for you, while tailoring the session to meet your individual needs.
Follow-up appointments include a brief review of your health and any changes since your previous visit.
What happens during my treatment?
You will be made comfortable on a treatment couch in a quiet, relaxing environment.
For Foot Reflexology, you will remove your shoes and socks, while for Hand Reflexology, only your hands need to be uncovered. Facial Reflexology is carried out with you lying comfortably on the treatment couch, with only your face and neck exposed.
Using gentle but precise pressure techniques, I work specific reflex points and zones that correspond to different areas of the body. The pressure is always adapted to your comfort, and most clients find the treatment deeply relaxing. You may notice some reflex areas feel more sensitive than others, but the treatment should never be painful.
Many clients experience a deep sense of relaxation during treatment and may even drift off to sleep.
For Reiki, you remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the treatment couch. If preferred, Reiki can also be provided while you are seated.
Using a series of hand positions either lightly on or just above the body, I provide a gentle, calming treatment designed to encourage deep relaxation and support your overall wellbeing. There is no massage or manipulation involved.
Everyone experiences Reiki differently. Some people notice sensations such as warmth, tingling or a feeling of deep calm, while others simply enjoy the opportunity to rest quietly.
If you have chosen a combination treatment, your session will be individually planned using two or more therapies, such as Reflexology and Reiki. These longer appointments provide an extended period of relaxation and can be tailored to your personal preferences and wellbeing goals.
At the end of your appointment, we will discuss how you are feeling and answer any questions you may have. I may provide simple aftercare advice, such as drinking plenty of water, avoiding excessive alcohol for the remainder of the day and allowing yourself time to rest if possible.
Many clients leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and with an improved sense of wellbeing. Individual responses vary, and the effects of treatment may continue to develop over the following 24–48 hours.
My aim is to provide a safe, welcoming and professional environment where you can take time away from the demands of everyday life and focus on your health and wellbeing.
Does reflexology hurt?
Reflexology should not be painful.
During your treatment, gentle but precise pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the feet, hands or face. Most clients find the experience deeply relaxing and many even fall asleep during their session.
Occasionally, some reflex areas may feel more sensitive than others. This can happen for a variety of reasons and does not necessarily indicate a health problem. If you experience any discomfort, please let me know, as the pressure can always be adjusted to ensure you remain comfortable throughout your treatment.
Everyone experiences reflexology differently. Some people notice a feeling of warmth, lightness or deep relaxation during or after treatment, while others simply enjoy taking time to unwind.
Your comfort is always my priority. Every treatment is tailored to your individual needs, and I will work with you to ensure your session is both relaxing and enjoyable.
How Often Should I Have Reflexology or Reiki?
There is no single answer, as everyone is different and treatment should always be tailored to your individual needs, lifestyle and wellbeing goals.
Some clients choose to have a treatment as an occasional opportunity to relax and unwind, while others find that regular sessions help them maintain a sense of balance and support their overall wellbeing.
As a general guide:
At the end of your appointment, we can discuss how you felt following your treatment and, if appropriate, agree on a schedule that suits your individual needs and preferences. There is never any obligation to book further appointments, and you are welcome to return whenever you feel you would benefit from another session.
